The 1m x 1m x1.4m poly garden cover is great for keeping any of your precious, super rare, and cold-sensitive plants alive during the colder months. I originally purchased 3 covers, and put 1 up to try it out. It does the job very well. So much so, we decided to purchase 12 more, for our other super rare, delicate plants, including jackfruit, longan, lychee, mamey sapote, blue sausage fruit tree, sapodilla, purple star apple, black surinam cherry, red ilama, red jaboticaba, and more. It has kept our little baby lychee that is currently 8cm tall, alive so far (others have been able to grow lychee in NZ too, in the northern parts of the north island, including Auckland, Warkwarth, etc. - as long as you keep them happy, healthy, and protected), and as we head into winter, I'm sure it will take the cold temperatures like a champ with this awesome poly cover. This cover really is such great value at $48 each. It also comes with some thick metal tent pegs to anchor it into the ground (you'll want to use them just for the added wind protection, trust me on this!). I couldn't recommend this poly cover more. It's tall enough to allow plenty of room for the plant or tree inside to grow, before having to be removed. As with any poly cover/greenhouse, you'll have to keep an eye out on whether it's too hot or too wet inside (I like to keep the flap open about 10-20cm just so that there's air circulation, and so it doesn't also get moldy). At the end of the day, greenhouses and poly covers are really just to protect the plants from frosts, extremely cold winds, and icy cold soil - all of which can kill a plant very quickly. The cover is also great for keeping the edge off for when temperatures REALLY start dropping. Every degree counts, when it comes to delicate plants, like lychees, for example. These covers are a must have!
