New Coat High Temp Paint is a high quality heat resistant coating designed to stop rust and restore that brand new, satin black finish to your pot-belly stove, barbecue, oven, heater, flue and any other metal parts that are subject to heat. It is scientifically formulated to withstand continuous temperatures up to 350C (and up to 500C for short periods) and can be applied without primer.

Prepping the surface prior to painting.
Prepping the surface ensures a lasting adhesion of the paint.  Ensure all rust is removed. High Temp Paint does not stop oxidization. Because of this, rust will reappear again if it is not completely eliminated. Ensure you are working on a bare surface - one free of grease, oil and other contaminants.

Is aerosol or brush-on paint better?
The choice between aerosol and brush-on paint is really dependent on the user’s personal preference. Some like the control of applying the coats one stroke at a time while others like the ease-of-use of spraying it on. One benefit to aerosol is its ability to easily apply a thin, full-coverage coat.
