The 245L Compost Tumbler frame is powder coated and allows for easy collection of ready to use compost from the barrel. The newly designed crank and gear system was developed in order to make the important task of rotating the contents of the barrel easier. With a few simple turns, this system allows the barrel to be rotated in order to aerate/mix the contents within.

An extra feature in this system is a ratchet that enables automatic rotation locking at any point which serves to prevent any backwards rotation of the barrel.

Compost Tumbler 245L

Handle is not particularly strong, particularly when rotating a very full tumbler.
Instructions for assembly were not particularly clear - learnt much more from the You Tube video

I had a couple of problems with ordering this compost tumbler and the helpful team at nicebuys sorted things for me and made the purchase very easy. The tumbler arrived very quickly and my husband put it together. He said the instructions were amazing and so easy to follow. Very happy with the purchase.

The kitset was fairly straightforward to put together and appears to be very sturdy. Easy to use and rotate but it lets a lot of rain in which can be reduced by closing upper vents but this reduces ventilation. Some sort of loose cover or lid might on the cards I think.
